Highland Park Water Monitoring
February 25th, 2010
In previous GBTU meetings a project to determine the feasibility of reintroducing native trout species into the Highland Park Ravines was discussed. This is a longterm project and the first step will be to determine the feasibility by monitoring the current water quality in these areas. Matt Jennings, GBTU president and HP resident, is leading this project and is looking for volunteers to help out measuring and monitoring water quality. Several webinar training sessions have been scheduled with the National TU organization on January 12th (Monitoring Fish and Aquatic Insects) and February 9th (Monitoring Water Quality) as well as an evening training session with Highland Park Parks Department on February 25th. Any interested parties should contact Matt Jennings.
