Sand Counties Trip
Fri, May 15 - Sun, May 17

EDTU's third annual Sand Counties trip will again be to Wautoma, Wi. We will stay at Silvercryst Lodge (in their motel rooms), overlooking beautiful Silver Lake. Saturday morning, members of the Central Wisconsin chapter will host a stream work/education day on historic Lawrence Creek. After providing lunch, they have graciously offered to take fishing those attending the morning event; sharing some of their favorite spots and techniques. This is a special opportunity to make new friends and learn the area from the locals.Saturday night we will meet for dinner at Silvercryst. Sunday you are on your own to fish, or explore how the world of Aldo Leopold's seminal work "A Sand County Almanac" looks today.

This weekend is an experience well beyond a typical weekend fishing trip. Some of the CWTU members conducting the Saturday morning work session are among the most revered people in the history of Wisconsin trout stream preservation and restoration. The fishing possibilities are endless, literally hundreds of miles of trout water are within a short drive of Wautoma. Cost of the trip is $150, which includes 2 nights lodging in a shared room(add $40 for a single) and Sat night dinner. Reserve your place by calling Bill Wobbekind 773 330 8787 or email. For additional information about the trip, or the area, contact Bill Wobbekind flyfsrwob@ameritech.net or Alistair Stewart pairs4life@aol.com co-chairs for the trip.
