The current roster for the first GBTU trip of the year is solidifying with 10 GBTU members and 3 members from the "Texas Contingent" attending. There is still room for another 6 people to attend. These spots will be offered to other interested area TU chapter members if GBTU members do not express an interest. For more info or to sign up, please contact Fung Chin fcarch@mac.com.

The trip is set for February 19-21, 2010. The location is Gene's Trout Fishing Resort, 324 River Acres Drive, Salesville, Arkansas 72653-979 and we are booked for Lodge #7. It overlooks the North Fork River and has 19 individual beds, a pool table, DVD, 2 televisions and a stereo. Boats with motors are $108 for four people.

Guides are up to individuals but may we suggest arranging through Mountain River Fly Shop or Blue Ribbon Flies. Boat/motor rentals are available. Call ahead to reserve if you are not using a guide.

Dinner will be provided at the lodge for 2 nights and dinner at a nice local restaurant Saturday night. Breakfasts will be provided and is self-serve. Lunches will be cold cuts and snacks and will also be self-serve. Snacks will be included in the cost along with sodas and coffee. All alcoholic beverages are the responsibility of each individual (as is your behavior). There is a large stocked kitchen located on the premises.

The cost to G.B.T.U. members is $175. This trip will be enjoyable way to kick off the 2010-fishing season.

Any special requests such as a specific wine for dinner must be submitted in advance. Please e-mail the request by the end of January.
