Farewell to Dean Lippold

August 25th, 2009

GBTU bids farewell and good luck to Dean Lippold. Dean has been a great asset to GBTU over the last couple of years, through his quiet willingness to help out and get the job done. Dean was a strong advocate and a key contributor in the establishment of our Trout in the Classroom project. Dean has a great ability to advance education of the Natural Sciences and gaining support for this important initiative.

It has been due to Dean's continued resolve and ability to ask the right question that has resulted in much of GBTU's educational strategy. We will miss his thoughtfulness, insights and guidance. Dean’s departure will leave a void, but we believe that other GBTU members will step up to build on Dean’s legacy.

Dean and his family will be moving to Boulder, Colorado. When asked if GBTU can do anything to help, Dean has asked "There is something you and others can help out with, and that is with connections in the Boulder area. Not just for fishing, but as you know when relocating that establishing a personal network for the family is very important. If you or anyone else knows of anyone in the area and would not mind doing an introduction that would be great."

I think I speak for all when I wish Dean and his family great success and pass on our many "thanks" for all the hard work.
